Solar Installations

We've been installing solar on the Sunshine Coast since 2010. Most jobs are straightforward: panels, inverter, grid connection, done. But a lot aren't. Older homes with switchboards that need upgrading, existing systems that complicate the design, Energex applications that take longer than expected. We've seen it and we handle it.

The person who comes to your property to quote is a qualified electrician, not a sales rep. They can answer technical questions on the spot and they understand what they're actually looking at.

We use panels from Jinko, Trina, Aiko, REC, and Canadian Solar. Inverters from Sigenergy, GoodWe, and Sungrow. We choose on quality and how products perform in a Queensland climate, not on margin.

  • Residential solar from 5kW to 30kW+
  • Commercial and industrial installations
  • Energex applications handled
  • Full system design, not just a quote
  • Energy monitoring set up on install
  • SAA accredited installers

Battery Storage Systems

Battery makes sense in some situations. Not all of them. If your export is constrained, your usage is weighted toward the evening, or you want backup power during an outage, it's worth looking at. If none of those apply, we'll tell you that too.

We install Sigenergy and GoodWe systems. Both are modular, both have solid monitoring, and both are products we're confident backing if something goes wrong down the track. We don't install systems we wouldn't put on our own properties.

If you're adding battery to an existing solar system, that's a separate design conversation. We'll look at what you've got, how you use power, and give you a straight read on whether it stacks up.

  • GoodWe ESA Lynx: reliable entry-level system
  • Sigenergy SigenStor: premium modular option
  • Hybrid inverter included in the install
  • Blackout protection available
  • Monitoring set up after install

Commercial Solar & Battery Systems

Commercial jobs have more variables. Larger systems, different network connection rules, higher loads to design around, often more involved switchboard work. We've done warehouses, retail premises, office buildings, and industrial sites across South East Queensland.

We design from the start, not just show up to install what someone else specced. If your bill is high enough and your usage profile fits, solar can make a real dent in operating costs. Battery adds peak shaving on top of that. But we'll tell you honestly if the numbers don't work before we quote anything.

If you're not sure where to start, bring us your last few electricity bills. That's usually enough to have a useful first conversation.

  • Systems from 10kW to 500kW+
  • Battery for peak shaving and backup
  • Load analysis before we quote
  • Energex applications and grid connection handled
  • Real-time monitoring included

Electrical services and infrastructure - Flux Electrical Systems

Electrical Services

Flux started as an electrical contracting business in 2010. Solar came later because that's where the work was heading and we wanted to do it properly. That background means we're not just solar installers who also happen to hold an electrical licence.

A lot of our electrical work is tied to solar and battery jobs: switchboard upgrades, metering changes, wiring that needs doing before or after the main install. We also take on general residential and commercial electrical work across the Sunshine Coast.

  • Switchboard upgrades
  • New home installations and renovations
  • Lighting and power points
  • Safety inspections
  • Emergency repairs
  • Commercial fit-outs
