Back from the water at Noosaville and Tewantin the housing is older and more mixed, with plenty of low-set brick and timber homes. Head out to Cooroy and the hinterland and you get acreage, sheds and long private power runs. We work across all of it, and the approach changes depending on what we're standing in front of.

We position the battery and inverter out of direct exposure where we can, specify enclosures with the right IP rating, and pay attention to the fixings we use. It's not complicated, but it does need to be thought about before the install, not after.

A lot of the calls we get from Noosa are from people who already have solar and want to add a battery. Some of those systems have been on the roof a long time. We'll look at the existing inverter and panels and tell you honestly whether it makes sense to keep them and add a battery, or whether you're better off replacing the lot.
